This lace and faceted bead necklace with an onyx drop is all you need to make a big statement. It features a single large onyx centrepiece, flanked by a row of acrylic tablets, each of which is embedded with black Chantilly lace. It’s suitable for those occasions where you need to turn heads!
The lace is intricately-hand crafted on 19th century looms in Northern France – and according to a method which has remained much unchanged since the 16th century. It’s from this part of the world that Kate Middleton’s lace was sourced for the wedding – and so you can be sure that you’re getting the utmost in quality and craftsmanship.
To top it off, the tablets are hung from a necklace made from Swarovski crystal-cut black beads. The entire structure is held together with a sterling silver clasp. The black colour-scheme will wonderfully complement a variety of different clothing ensembles – and so, whatever outfit you’d like to pair it with, this necklace will look the part.
Included with every purchase is a lace story card, which explains in detail the story behind the lace. This therefore makes an ideal gift for a special person in your life – and we’ll even wrap it for you, in order to make things all the more special.
The lace in these pieces is still made on 19th century looms in Caudry, Northern France.
It’s taken off the loom halfway through the process and painstakingly finished with fine knotting. The lace is made in the same workshop that recently created the lace that went into the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton’s wedding gown.
Details of this process are included on a story card with every item.
